Live in your own office
The Linux New Media AG Live Stream solution was developed throughout with Open Source software to broadcast conferences over the Internet.
As a spectator you can follow the event live on your own PC from the convenience of your own home or office, or even on the road, as a live video with sound track. Parallel to the video we integrate high resolution slides of the lecture with the interface. An integrated text-based chat forum gives you the ability to ask questions, provide feedback to the live stream moderators, or ask for support.
All media in "slow motion"
If you are unable to spend both days of the conference at your PC, and have other business to attend to: No problem. After the live transmission, you can view repeats of the talks, whenever you like, and as often as you like.
No Installation Required
You do not need to install special software on your PC to take part in a live stream. A Web browser and an Internet connection are all it takes. And our solution is completely independent of your choice of platform: no matter whether you use Windows, Linux, or MacOS, your choice of operating system will be fine.
Technology
To view the live streaming you need a Web browser with Internet connection and JavaScript, such as Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safa, Opera or Konqueror. For video display you need the Adobe Flash plugin version 9 or later. You can download the plugin from the Adobe homepage.
Some older video archives provide the videostream via a Java applet. For that you need to have Java installed on your computer. The current version of the Java software is available from the Sun Java download page.
